A special episode commerating 100 years of flight
will air on March 19, 2003. Three teams from the UK, France and the USA
will compete to recreate the first flight.

'TLCs Junkyard Dogs' is officially known as Operation
Junkyard. It's a 1/2 hour program that features kids building the machines.
It airs Saturdays on NBC, beginning October 5th. Check local listing for
details.

4th Series episodes of Junkyard Wars begin airing
August 28th, 2002 on TLC. One change has already been made in that Cathy
will not be returning for the 4th US series. A lady by the name of Karyn
Bryant (VH1's Name That Video) will be taking her place on-camera. In the
UK, however, a woman by the name of Lisa Rogers (no relation to Cathy)
will co-present with Robert. Cathy will still act as producer.

This fall (2002, time and network(s) unknown at this
point) it's "TLCs Junkyard Dogs" a half-hour show where the 4 players'
combined ages cannot exceed 56. More info when it becomes available.

Reader Cale Putnam informs me that there are Junkyard
Wars toys available at KMart. Spotted were 1/43 scale replicas of the Long
Brothers Hovercraft and Off-Roader, Scrap Daddies' Hot Rod and the Law
Dawgs Monster Truck. They are made by Road Champs and cost $4.99 each.
Cale was nice enough to provide 3 pictures of the Law Dawgs truck, one
of which can be found along with other info in the Merchandise
section.

Congratulations to Junkyard Wars on being named the
6th best TV show on the air in 2001 by TIME magazine. The top 3 were David
Letterman's Post-9/11 Return, HBO's Sunday night line-up and FOXs 'Undeclared'.

On November 23rd, 2001 there will be an *18* hour(!)
Junkyard Wars marathon. All 7 episodes from the latest US series will be
shown along with a few episodes from the UK series and previous US series.

Junkyard Wars has moved. Find their new day and time
on Wednesdays at 9PM Eastern.

According to readers of TV Guide Canada, Junkyard
Wars is their second favorite British Import show. The top 3 vote
getters are Coronation Street (30%), Junkyard Wars (21%) & Queer As
Folk (15%).

Congratulations go out to the team at TLC/RDF for
earning the FIRST Emmy nomination for Junkyard Wars in the category of
'Non-Fiction Program (Special Class)'. This category is for reality-style
games/game shows. Other nominees include Bands on the Run (VH1), Eco-Challenge
Borneo (USA), Junkyard Wars (TLC), Road Rules Maximum Velocity Tour (MTv)
